A state Supreme Court judge is expected to rule today whether the Westchester County Board of Legislators can remove its chairwoman from her position.
A temporary injunction was issued Wednesday after Board Chair Catherine Borgia filed a lawsuit claiming the Board of Legislators does not have the legal right to remove her.
This stems from allegations against a former legislative aide brought forward by a group called OBL Global, which posted a YouTube video allegedly showing the aide sending lewd messages and pictures to a decoy 14-year-old girl.
In a public resolution, the Board of Legislators claims Borgia was made aware of these allegations back in December but allowed the employee to continue working until she fired him earlier this month when the video was posted.
The aide has not been charged with a crime, but the Westchester District Attorney's Office is reviewing the case.
Borgia has refused to step down and maintains she has done nothing wrong.
