Union County officials are collecting food and distributing money to those directly affected by SNAP-related issues.
The Temporary Bridge Relief program is distributing financial relief to those who qualify after being affected by the lack of SNAP benefits.
The hope is to offset any losses in SNAP benefits and help residents continue to put food on the table.
"I think we all can see how truly scared SNAP recipients have truly been. Scared of the loss of financial supports, financial relief,” says Union County Commissioner Sergio Granados. “Union County stepped up with providing the right financial support to residents affected by SNAP benefit loss."
