A rally was held Tuesday evening in Williamsbridge after a 3-year-old boy was shot over the weekend.
According to police, the child was hit in the shoulder and arm at 829 East 226th St. on Saturday.
Police initially arrested the boy's mother for allegedly delaying medical attention for her child. However, the Bronx district attorney decided not to pursue charges.
People at the rally called for an extra police presence in the area so similar incidents do not happen again.
