A storm with torrential rain and gusty winds knocked out power to thousands of customers across the Hudson Valley.
Utility companies have been working all night to restore power and have reduced the number of outages from a peak of over 20,000.
Con Edison says crews have already restored about 12,200 customers and are working to restore about 17,000 more customers in Westchester and the Bronx.
