Today is going to be a day to stream News 12 LIVE on the FREE News 12 app this afternoon and evening as scattered torrential rain and thunderstorms can significantly impact your travel and outdoor plans today. While the chance for flooding is highest this evening, scattered showers will be around most of the day.
After 8 p.m. or 9 p.m., the chance for additional flooding diminishes, but scattered showers will linger through tonight and lingering flooding can still cause hazardous travel overnight.
Tomorrow and Wednesday will be better, but both days still come with a pop-up shower or downpour chance in the afternoon and evening. It will be much more isolated in nature than today.
The heat also builds midweek! It can feel like the mid- to upper-90s Wednesday through Friday. Thursday will also be our next more active day of weather with scattered showers and thunderstorms. Another more spotty thunderstorm chance will arrive Friday.
I think Saturday will be the best day this week. As you plan ahead for the weekend, keep in mind that there will be an increasing chance for showers throughout the day on Sunday.
Have a nice Monday and please stay safe with today's downpours and storms!
