If you love snow and cold temperatures, you're going to love the next few days. We're going to sound like a parent when we say this but don't forget the thermals, gloves, scarf and heavy coat for today. Our pattern of below normal temperatures will continue for another day. We should be closer to 40 degrees. Today, we're going to struggle just to get to the 20s. Hence why the moisture that's going to be pushing through is going to be snow.
Untreated, low-traveled areas could see some black ice develop. So, if the ground looks odd, it's likely some black ice. In terms of the snow, this is not going to be a blockbuster storm. The snow that will fall will be more inconvenient snow. However, many spots across our area will pick up on 1-2 inches of snow.
Once this system is out of here, we finally start to "warm up." OK, its not really a warm up more of a return back to normal. By next weekend, we will see temperatures returning back to the 40s.
