STORM WATCH: Heavy, wet snow overnight to change to wintry mix, rain Friday morning

The wintry mix of sleet and freezing rain will begin Friday around 2 a.m. to 6 a.m. from south to north, and will change to plain rain south of I-287 around 9 a.m.

Heavy, wet snow is set to move in overnight and will change to a mix and even some plain rain along the South Shore through Friday morning, leading to very slippery travel.
The wintry mix of sleet and freezing rain will begin Friday around 2 a.m. to 6 a.m. from south to north, and will change to plain rain south of I-287 around 9 a.m.
There will be slippery travel through the morning. It will dry out into the afternoon with highs in the upper 30s.
SATURDAY: Mainly sunny with highs around 34. Lows around 23.
SUNDAY: Partly sunny with highs around 40. Lows around 18.
MONDAY: Mainly sunny and cold with highs around 29. Lows near 20.
It should be quiet next week before an end of the week warmup again.
