WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW
After Tuesday’s snowstorm, drier conditions move in today for Christmas Eve — but so do persistent winds. Winds could gust up to 30 mph across the region.
Winds ease overnight, with a light breeze around for Christmas Day. Expect mostly cloudy skies and seasonable temperatures throughout the day.
A cold front moves through late Thursday, dropping temperatures heading into Friday morning for Kwanzaa. An approaching storm system could take advantage of that colder air and bring snow to the region. Snow could begin Friday afternoon and last through Saturday morning.
Once this system moves out, another is possible Sunday afternoon. With rising temperatures, that system will bring mainly rain. It will move out Monday morning, followed by gusty winds and colder temperatures.
We’ll wrap up 2025 next Wednesday night with New Year’s Eve. So far, dry and cold conditions are expected to ring in 2026.
