ALERTS: Wind Advisory for the entire lower Hudson Valley until 10 p.m. tonight.
Get ready for a much colder stretch of weather moving in starting Saturday! We have dealt with far worse feeling conditions at times over the past several weeks, but high temperatures will consistently only reach the low 30s for a while starting this weekend.
There will be a mix of sun and clouds today with a few flurries possible as strong wind gusts up to 50 mph continue. There is a wind advisory posted until 10 p.m. tonight with those strong wind gusts which can lead to additional scattered power outages through the day. Make sure any loose outdoor objects or decorations are secured properly. High temperatures will be around 40 degrees, but it will feel a bit colder with the wind.
While Friday will not be as windy as today, there can still be some wind gusts up to 30 mph. Otherwise, it will be chilly tomorrow with highs around 38 degrees and some wind chills stuck in the 20s.
This weekend will be colder with highs around the low 30s. The weekend looks dry, but just colder than average. Normal average high temperatures this time in January are around 38 degrees.
There will be a winter weather system that looks to mostly miss the lower Hudson Valley on Monday. That said, we still cannot rule out some scattered snow showers on Monday at this time. Beyond Monday, just expect it to stay cold and mostly dry through all of next week.
Have a great Thursday!
