Two longtime educators were honored in Westchester County with a street renaming ceremony in Elmsford.
Sister Mary Stephen Healey and Sister Joanne Fallon were recognized outside Our Lady of Mount Carmel School on North Mortimer Avenue.
Sister Mary Stephen, the school's principal, is retiring at age 95 after more than 60 years of service. Sister Joanne, a fourth grade teacher, is retiring after 65 years.
Both sisters plan to return to the school a few days a week to help with fundraising.
