A student-athlete at Suffern High School died on Friday, the school district confirmed. 

Steven Sanon was a member of the school's football team and was expected to attend Buffalo State University in the fall, where he was recruited to play college football.

The school has set up counseling and grief support services for Saturday and Sunday from 2-5 p.m.

It was not immediately clear what caused the student’s death. The team set up a GoFundMe for his funeral expenses.
