The Liberty School District in Sullivan County has adopted a new mascot. They will now be known as the "Redhawks."

A mandate from the state two years ago required districts to stop using Native American mascots and logos. Students and staff provided input on the new mascot.

The new mascot will start being used in the next several weeks.
