Surveillance video appears to show Orange County man attaching officer with flag pole during Capitol insurrection
Surveillance video has been released that appears to show a former NYPD officer from Orange County attacking a police officer at the Capitol insurrection.
Thomas Webster was arrested earlier this week on several charges, including assaulting a police officer.
A federal judge called the video a “significant violent act” during Webster’s arraignment in White Plains and remanded him because he was deemed a danger to the community.

 The officer told prosecutors he was being chocked and couldn’t breather.
A Dutchess County man was in federal court Friday on charges that he took photos of congressional documents on his phone.
Christopher Moynihan told News 12 that his appearance in court went “pretty well” and he had no comment on if it was him taking photos of the documents.
Prosecutors have arrested 18 people in New York for alleged roles in the Capitol insurrection.
