New York has been ranked one of the best states to raise a family.

It came in fifth place according to WalletHub.

The site compared the 50 states across 50 key indicators of family-friendliness. It looked at affordability, safety, good job prospects, quality education, health care, and entertainment.

New York also ranked third for family fun, 20th for health and safety, and 48th for socio-economics.
