Suffolk County police are searching for suspects after a pair of teenage boys were shot while in a car in Brentwood last night.
Three teens were parked on Madison Avenue near Hewes Street when a second vehicle with at least three people inside pulled up in front of them around 7 p.m., investigators said.
Police said one of the males from the second car got out and began shooting at the first car, striking a 15-year-old in the hand and a 17-year-old in the leg. The driver of the car with the alleged shooter left the scene in an unknown direction.
Officials said the first car with the shooting victims drove about two miles away to the vicinity of Marvin Road and Stein Drive in North Bay Shore near Brentwood High School, where police were called.
The two teenage victims were taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
Detectives are asking anyone with information on the shooting to contact the Third Squad at 631-854-8352 or Crime Stoppers at 800-220-TIPS.
