A Bronx middle school held its first annual Sustainability Fair on Saturday.
The Bronx Mathematics Preparatory School placed an emphasis on free paper shredding and the collection and recycling of clothing, bottles, cans and cellphones.
Students say the purpose of the event was make people more aware of the uses of certain goods, and the ways they can be repurposed.
The school hopes the fair will provide students with enough knowledge to make their own decisions when it comes to recycling in order to make the world a greener place.
