Health officials in Orange County say the much anticipated swine flu vaccine is available, but is arriving on a staggered schedule.
"Every week it'll be shipped out to larger providers and then the smaller groups," says Orange County Health Commissioner Dr. Jean Hudson.
Crystal Run Healthcare pediatrician Dr. Jonathan Nasser says the first round of H1N1 vaccines they've received are in mist form. He says there are widespread misconceptions about the safety of both the mist and injection form of the vaccine.
"It's the same as getting your flu shot every year and we shouldn't be afraid it's a new vaccine because it really isn't," Nasser says.
