Stuck inside because of the snow and cold? Well, get out to a winter adventure at
Rocking Horse Ranch Resort in Highland where you’re bound to have SNOW much
fun!
“Rocking Horse Ranch Resort
was established in 1958, always it’s been a
family resort destination,” says owner Steven Turk.
Just make sure you make a
reservation because they’re running on half capacity.
Then brush up on your skiing
skills on their mini mountain. “We have instructors for the skiing as
well as all the equipment necessary,” says Turk.
You can also lace up your
skates and glide around a winter wonderland. And if skiing and skating isn’t
for you, don’t worry. Just grab a tube and head right down the mountain.
Or hop on a horse and ride
through a snowy escape. “Horseback riding goes on year-round…We have over
115 head of horses we ride on 500 acres,” Turk says proudly.
You can also enjoy the
scenery on a sleigh ride with some four-legged tour
guides — Bill and John.
All that snow calls for some
warming up, so take a dip in the steamy hot spring or you can even splash
around the indoor pool.
Don’t let the fun end there, stay the night so you can do it all
again the next day this Road Trip: Close to Home.
