Workers in Ramapo are putting the final touches on the local 5,000-seat minor league stadium. Construction started last September on the home field of the Rockland Boulders and Ramapo Supervisor Chris St. Lawrence says the stadium will be ready for the team to take the field and open its season at home next week. The grassroots group Preserve Ramapo had tried to stop the stadium project, even filing lawsuits, but their attempts to halt construction were denied in court.
