Team of the Week: Lakeland/Panas girls' lacrosse
For the fourth straight year, the Lakeland/Panas girls' lacrosse team won the Class A Section 1 championship against Suffern Thursday.
It was a close game for the Rebels until midway through the second half. Junior Anna Jeszeck scored three goals in a row, followed by two more goals scored by senior Kelsey Bub. Lakeland/Panas defeated Suffern 10-7.
Lakeland/Panas will face off against the Section 9 champion, Kingston, tomorrow in the first round of the state playoffs.
