Teen driver charged with DWI in fiery barn crash

State police say the car crashed into a barn, causing the fire. First responders had to move the unresponsive driver to safety before knocking down the flames.

A 17-year-old has been charged with driving while intoxicated in a crash that set a barn on fire.
The crash happened Thursday morning on Route 9D and Marlorville Road in the Town of Wappinger.
State police say the car crashed into a barn, causing the fire. First responders had to move the unresponsive driver to safety before knocking down the flames.
The driver, who wasn’t named, suffered injuries that are not considered life-threatening.
The building and nearby utility pole had to be taken down.
