Teen wounded in brazen knife attack near Bryant Park; 2 persons of interest in custody

A 19-year-old man was wounded in a knife attack near Bryant Park in Manhattan, police say.

According to the NYPD, an argument turned violent just steps from the National Dominican Day Parade route. It happened around 2:40 p.m. Sunday on 42nd Street between 5th and 6th avenues.

According to the NYPD, the victim was stabbed twice in the back and slashed in the torso.

Paramedics rushed him to Bellevue Hospital, where police say he is expected to recover.

Police sources say two persons of interest were taken into custody.

Official charges have not been released as of Sunday evening.
