For those hitting the road today, be prepared—it's expected to be the busiest day of the holiday weekend.
AAA warns that the worst time to drive will likely be between 2 p.m. and 6 p.m. Additionally, on Thanksgiving Day, it's advisable to avoid roads from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.
If you're traveling by train, Metro-North will run a weekday schedule with the addition of ten extra trains starting today. This includes three on the Hudson Line, two on the Harlem Line, and four on the New Haven Line. For those heading into the city to watch the parade on Thursday, there will be even more trains to facilitate your journey.
Most Rockland bus routes will offer Sunday service, but please note that there will be no service on TOR 94, 95, and 97 routes. The county's Trips Paratransit will provide ADA trips exclusively, and Clarkstown Mini Trans buses will not be operational.
