Yorktown Supervisor Tom Diana released the following statement: I am pleased to report that I have been able to arrange for five additional trucks to come to Yorktown to assure Thursday and Friday garbage and recycling pickups are made.
Two private carters, who recognized the seriousness of the situation, have agreed to provide the additional trucks and crews after the town’s contractor had five of its trucks repossessed Monday night.
