A Rockland County man has been charged in the rape of a guest at an Elmsford hotel.

Den-Mark Carter, 23, of Thiells, was arrested in an incident Sunday at the Days Inn.

Police say he forcibly entered the room of the victim.

The two did not know each other.

He allegedly fled after the incident.

The victim was treated and released from the hospital.

Carter was arrested near his home on Wednesday with the assistance of Elmsford detectives, the FBI Westchester Safe Streets Task Force and the Westchester County Real Time Crime and Conditions Unit.

Carter was also charged with robbery and criminal sex act.

He was arraigned, and bail was set at $100,000 cash.
