A threat prompted a lockout at Ossining High School Tuesday morning.
School district officials say they received a call specifically targeting Ossining High School.
The building and other school buildings in town immediately went into lockout mode.
Only staffers and faculty were in the building at the time of the lockout.
Police aren't revealing the details of the call, but they say they are taking the matter seriously.
Officials tell News 12 that schools in Ossining are routinely closed on Wednesday for cleaning. Most students will be back for in-person learning Thursday.
Ossining police say the lockout was lifted at 1:30 p.m.
