Three Warwick teens are facing felony charges Friday after police say they stole a gun and fired shots into the garage of a home.
Police say the case involving the teens began Wednesday when they received a report that a safe was found on Hedges Road. They say the suspects apparently used an ax to break open the safe. Hours later, police say they were then called to an area business where three teens ages 18, 16 and 15 were caught trespassing. Upon searching the teens, police found a .38 caliber bullet casing. Then on Thursday, police were called to the home of Liz Gevers who had discovered three .38 caliber bullet holes in her garage. That's when police put the two incidents together. The teens were questioned and police say they confessed to stealing the gun and firing shots.
The teens were charged with criminal possession of a weapon, which is a felony.
