A Middletown teen has been charged with raping a young girl over the course of a year in the victim?s Deerpark home.
Authorities say they were tipped off to the attacks by a complaint to a child abuse hotline. State police believe 17-year-old Kurtis Ellington sexually assaulted a young girl under the age of 11 numerous times over the last year. Cops say Ellington would drive from his house in Middletown to the victim?s house in Deerpark where she lives with her parents.
Ellington was arraigned in Deerpark Town Court. He was charged with rape in the first degree and sent to Orange County Jail. Ellington will be tried as an adult and if convicted could face anywhere between five and 25 years in prison.
