Lock your cars! That's the message Town of Ramapo police sent to locals Wednesday night.

Ramapo Police Department shared a video of a thief stealing a car in broad daylight.

Police say the suspect in this video attempts to enter several locked cars before getting into one with an unlocked door and the key fob inside.

According to police, many car theft victims not only leave their vehicles unlocked but also leave key fobs in plain view.

This allows car thieves to easily enter and with a press of a button, start the car and drive away.
