Two incidents on Route 17 in Tuxedo backed up evening rush hour traffic Wednesday.
Police say a car and dump truck collided at the intersection of Route 17A and Route 17 around 4 p.m. Several fire companies and emergency crews responded to the accident. Police say a helicopter transported the driver of the car to Westchester Medical Center. According to police, the dump truck driver was taken to Good Samaritan Hospital in Suffern.
There is no word on the condition of the drivers.
In a separate incident, hazmat crews were called to the scene of a diesel fuel spill on Route 17. Authorities say the fuel spilled into the Warwick Brook and Ramapo River.
