Traffic pattern adjustments are forthcoming on Route 9A in Mount Pleasant due to the establishment of a large e-commerce facility at 231 Saw Mill River Road.
Although residents have raised concerns and signed a petition against the project, town officials are proceeding with a "temporary soft closure" phase for West Stevens Avenue and Belmont Road.
Following this phase, traffic conditions will be assessed before a decision is made regarding permanent closures to nonemergency vehicles.
