yesterdayDramatic new video has been captured of an injured hiker being airlifted off a mountain in Ulster County.
Officials say the 38-year-old hurt his ankle on Wittenberg Mountain Trail in the town of Shandaken last Tuesday.
They say he was stranded about four miles out from the parking lot when it happened.
Rescue crews were able to find and hoist the Stone Ridge man up into a helicopter before being taken to an ambulance.
There has been no update on the hiker's condition.
