A special walk was held in Rockland County to remember the life of a Congers woman who recently died from cancer.
Friends and family walked across the Gov. Cuomo Bridge to honor Elizabeth Katt.
She died of cervical cancer last month at 30 years old.
Family members say Katt was originally diagnosed with the cancer two years ago.
To honor her, many of the participants wore some type of teal and white item, the colors associated with cervical cancer.
The group also sold merchandise to raise money for cervical cancer research.
Katt's aunt says she hopes these efforts bring awareness to the cancer that she says can be treated and even cured.
