A phone message containing multiple bomb threats resulted in the evacuation of an office building in Wallkill Monday morning.
Police said the call came in to the Blue Cross Blue Shield building on Crystal Run Road at around 8 a.m. According to investigators, the man on the message said there would be several bomb detonations throughout the day.
Police searched all four floors of the building and found no explosive devices.
At least 700 workers were evacuated to a neighboring building while bomb-sniffing dogs and police searched their offices. Customer service calls were routed to different locations while the staff waited to return. Employees were allowed to return after three hours of waiting.
Police said the threat was made to an inside line that only an employee would have the number to.
