The Town of Wallkill has canceled its fireworks show because of expected extreme weather conditions.

The event was scheduled for Thursday night at the Town of Wallkill Golf Course.

Town officials said anticipated weather conditions make it unsafe to proceed with the event.

No alternate date has been scheduled at this time.

Officials said they will meet with the fireworks vendor and event planning team to discuss rescheduling the event.
