Wallkill man found incompetent to stand trial

A man charged with killing his father in the Town of Wallkill last November has been found incompetent to stand trial.
Thomas Martin, 58, of Middletown, was facing second-degree murder and manslaughter charges. According to police, he killed Lester Martin and hid the body in the basement of their home on Scotchtown Collabar Road.
A full psychiatric report on Martin found him unable to stand trial. He is now being turned over to the Mid-Hudson Psychiatric Center for treatment.
