Officials are now investigating a fire that broke out today at a warehouse on Western Highway in Tappan.
An employee coming to work early called 911, after seeing smoke coming from the Entech Corp building, which was once the Grossman Steel Factory.
Tappan Assistant Fire Chief Mike Healey says he saw a pocket of flames coming from the side of the warehouse and heard electrical wires popping when he arrived on the scene.
Officials say they had to be extra cautious because there were propane tanks and a chemical tanker, possibly holding diesel fuel, inside the factory.
As many as 80 firefighters were called on the scene and it took nearly a half hour to get the flames under control.
The building was closed at the time and there are no reports of any injuries.
Investigators are now looking into reports of an explosion at the warehouse. They say it's still unclear if the fire caused the explosion or the explosion sparked the blaze.
An investigation is now under way into what caused the fire.
