· Cool & cloudy start to our Thursday. Temperatures are in the mid-50s to low 60s.
· Today will be brighter and warmer. Highs will be in the upper 70s to low 80s.
· The drought monitor is out later today, and we will see if abnormally dry conditions continue.
· Friday will be even warmer than today with highs in the low 80s. A cold front will pass through Friday evening knocking temperatures to the low 70s this weekend.
· The Autumnal Equinox officially begins Monday Sept. 22nd at 2:19 p.m.. On the Autumnal equinox, the sun crosses over the equator marking the start of astronomical Fall. This results in nearly equal day and night in the northern hemisphere.

TRACKING THE TROPICS: Tropical Storm Gabrielle has formed in the central Atlantic and currently poses no direct threat to land. It is forecast to intensify to a hurricane by next week as it makes its closest approach to Bermuda. There are now two tropical waves off the coast of Africa that have a low chance of development over the next 7 days.
