Mandatory water restrictions have been dropped for Rockland County residents.

Water usage across Rockland County remained 15% below average use after mandatory restrictions were made voluntary on Sept. 14.

As of Oct. 1, Rockland was no longer hitting any drought triggers, but the Department of Health is continuing to encourage families to conserve water to allow Potake Pond to recover.
