News 12 Storm Watch Team Meteorologist Julian Seawright says there is a chance of severe thunderstorms for the Hudson Valley on Saturday.

FORECAST:
SATURDAY -- WEATHER TO WATCH: Most of the morning will be fine. The afternoon will see sun and clouds. Highs near 86 degrees. Humid. A shower or thunderstorm is possible at any point during the afternoon, but they will be widely scattered and non-severe initially. Keep the outdoor plans, but with the mindset that you may need to head indoors as a storm passes. A cold front approaches from the west in the evening. There will be an increasing chance for a few strong to severe thunderstorms anytime after 5 p.m. and through just after midnight. Again, these will be spotty and not for everyone. However, any strong to severe evening/overnight storm may be capable of damaging wind gusts, large hail, heavy rain, frequent lightning and a very small chance for an isolated tornado. Clearing out before sunrise Sunday. Lows near the upper-60s and lower-70s.
SUNDAY: Mostly sunny - warm to hot and humid. Highs near 87 degrees. Lows around 65 degrees.
MONDAY: Sun and clouds. Rain showers are possible, mainly later in the day. Highs around 84 degrees. Lows near 68 degrees.
TUESDAY: Morning showers. Then, a mix of clouds and some sun. Highs around 83 degrees. Lows near 64 degrees.
WEDNESDAY: Mostly sunny. Highs near 82. Lows around 66 degrees.
THURSDAY: Mostly sunny. Highs around 84 degrees. Lows near 66.
FRIDAY: Partly sunny with scattered showers possible. Highs around 83 degrees. Lows near 64 degrees.
