With just a few days until the start of a new school year, the Westchester County Board of Health is handing down a new set of recommendations to keep students and teachers safe.
They are urging local schools to align their policies with the CDC to ensure a safe start.
This means everyone who is eligible to be vaccinated should get their shot.
It also calls for indoor masking for all students and staff, regardless of vaccination status, as well as three feet of separation in classrooms.
And high risk sports can only be played if all participants are vaccinated.
