Westchester County is rallying to raise awareness for the programs and resources available to residents who experience food insecurity.

According to officials, $1 million in grants were awarded to over 60 individual hunger relief organizations throughout the county in 2023 alone.

Westchester food security coordinator Susan Weisman says all of these efforts show the county's commitment to continue to build diverse and resilient communities.

"Beyond distributing groceries and meals, these organizations have become community hubs so people can sit down and share a meal with others," Weisman says.

If you or your family are struggling with food insecurity, you can call 211 or go to feedingwestchester.org for resources near you.
