Westchester has some of the most careless cooks in the nation.
A study conducted by ClaimGuide, a homeowner insurance resource, has revealed that Westchester County ranks fourth nationwide for cooking-related house fires, with over 2,100 incidents reported each year.
New Yorkers on the whole also ranked poorly in the study.
The study also found that 72% of respondents nationwide admitted to leaving a stove unattended while cooking.
