White Plains road reopens following following overpass strike

Police say the driver of the truck thought he could clear the bridge that sits below the train tracks but it got stuck instead.

Fisher Lane in White Plains reopened after a U-Haul truck got stuck under a bridge Friday afternoon.
Police say it happened around 3:30 p.m. when the driver of the truck thought he could clear the bridge that sits below the train tracks but it got stuck instead.
The MTA, along with White Plains police and a tow truck company were all there to help.
Police and tow truck employees deflated the tires and were able to pull it out .
The truck sustained minor damage to the roof and the street was closed for about an hour.
