A woman accused of attacking senior citizen protesters in Pawling could face jail time if she pleads guilty later this month.

Annette Strehle appeared in Dutchess County Court, where a judge reviewed video from the January incident involving ICE protesters on Route 22.

The judge said she believes incarceration is appropriate should Strehle plead guilty to three counts of attempted assault of a person age 65 or older.

The judge also said mental health counseling would be part of Strehle's sentence if she pleads guilty.

The case was adjourned until July 22 at the request of Strehle's attorney.

The judge told Strehle that if she pleads guilty on that date, she should be prepared to be taken directly to jail.
