A special motorcade passed through Orange County Wednesday morning.
Wreaths Across America arrived in Goshen just after 10 a.m. with 4,000 wreaths for veterans’ graves at the Orange County Veterans Cemetery.
The annual procession was led by first responders throughout the county.
Kids and community members lined Main Street.
Among those there were fourth grade students from Park Avenue Elementary School in Warwick, who raised $2,500 to purchase 166 wreaths.
“We have a lot of support in Warwick,” said Park Avenue Elementary School teacher Theresa Canfield. “That’s what we teach our kids. To respect each other and our veterans and our country.”
The wreaths will be placed on veterans’ graves Saturday afternoon following a ceremony.
Hundreds of community member volunteers are expected to be there to help despite the coastal storm.
