Yale School of Medicine seeks girls who have been bullied over weight for national treatment study

Researchers at the Yale School of Medicine are looking for victims of bullying related to their weight to participate in a national treatment study.
Pediatricians say a lack of activity over the course of the pandemic has led to a rise in childhood obesity. Dr. Janet Lydecker, the director of Eating and Weight Initiatives at Yale research clinic Teen POWER, say participants will attend virtual therapy sessions with a counselor so researchers can see how much of an impact treatment can have.
Lydecker says the revolutionary thing is is that the study is treating bullying as something that can be treated
