The owner of the Yankee Tavern was arraigned on tax evasion charges at the Bronx County Hall of Justice Thursday.
Prosecutors say Joe Bostone failed to pay more than $1 million in taxes. The charges against him include grand larceny and filing a false return. His arrest comes after a nearly three-year investigation by the New York City Department of Finance.
If Bostone is convicted, he faces up to 15 years in prison. He will be back in court April 29 at 10 a.m.
