A 19-year-old from White Plains is one of the NFL’s youngest employees.
Mike Hunter, a 2019 graduate of White Plains High School, calls it the opportunity of a lifetime. The White Plains native is working for the NFL, while also attending school at the University of Buffalo.
“It really hit me like wow, I'm really doing something pretty big at a young age,” says Hunter.
He currently works as the live content correspondent for the Buffalo Bills but has previously filled in for other teams.
“Basically, I'm capturing live content for them and they're posting it on their Instagram pages right away,” says Hunter.
If you’re wondering about his path, News 12 is told his alma mater White Plains High School assisted in his journey by believing in his craft.
“I started doing videos for the football and basketball teams here mainly, and White Plains High School purchased my camera equipment because they saw all the great stuff I did on YouTube,” says Hunter.
His first YouTube sports highlight videos surpassed 10,000 views and continues to grow. “It’s still going to this day and now it has over 50,000 views,” says Hunter.
When asked what his long-term goal is, he says “to make this a bigger company and have a team, instead of it just being me and hopefully the sky’s the limit."
For now, the entrepreneur is happy sharing his passion for sports, managing his production company - Thunder Productions and working for the NFL.
