The Yonkers City Council has unanimously adopted a $1.2 billion budget for the fiscal year 2021-22.
The budget contains no hike in the property tax levy and does not make cuts to city services or the workforce.
The budget includes a record $280 million for the school district.
It will allow the district to add 125 positions including music teachers, librarians, and school psychologists. It would also allow the district to resume junior varsity sports.
